I'm Arosha, Your Climate Action Partner

I’m Arosha, a corporate climate consultant specializing in Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) and Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) compliance.
I have 3 years of experience in sustainability and climate action at a leading global climate standard-setting organisation, a reputable UK university, and a globally renowned FMCG company, with employees ranging from 200 to 4,500+, and up to 9-figure GBP annual revenues.

I worked as a Target Analyst at the SBTi in the UK for nearly two years. In this role, I led the validation of corporate climate commitments for over 100 global companies across eight sectors. My responsibilities included reviewing GHG inventories and targets for Scopes 1, 2, and 3, even for multinational corporations with billion-dollar revenues and over 400,000 employees. I acted as the primary liaison for these companies, managing documentation and providing technical guidance to ensure their compliance with GHGP and SBTi. This hands-on experience made these frameworks my "best friends" in the world of climate action.

Beyond my time at SBTi, my journey has included a range of sustainability-focused positions.  While completing my master's degree at the University of the West of England (UWE), I worked as a Project Intern at the university, where I developed sustainability training programs for businesses as part of the "Skills for Clean Growth" programme delivered by the UWE and NatWest Bank UK, on behalf of the European Union and West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

In Sri Lanka, I gained valuable experience  as a Sustainability Intern at Dilmah Ceylon Tea Company, contributing to corporate ESG reporting and ensuring compliance with standards like ISO 14001 and GHGP. I also conducted corporate carbon footprint audits, managed sustainability content for major reports (e.g., the Annual Report), and supported local and international environmental events.
My background also includes a position as a University Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo (UoC).

My Qualifications:

• M.Sc. in Environmental Management (Distinction) from the University of the West of England, UK

• B.Sc. (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka
